About Last Night…NAME THAT TUNE, THE VOICE, and FOUND
November 8, 2023 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!
NAME THAT TUNE: Oh, this hour hurt. (Though the Nicole and Tig episode should have been placed first, because at least Nicole answered final round Qs correctly.)
THE VOICE: I like Niall a lot, but it is not great that he wasn’t there for the mentoring portion of the Knockouts. This is a time when a third of his team makes it through—and he has the responsibility to save one person—so how did the show not schedule around his availability? Or bump him a season if he couldn’t be there?
FOUND: Gabi is spiraling and I’m really glad Lacey at least called her out on it. It’s not fair to expect Lacey to fix this, but…hopefully the rest of the team starts seeing it, too, because this is endangering them all.
And, look, I have extreme empathy and sympathy for Gabi’s loss and profound impact it’s had on her. It’s just very murky when her grief and unresolved trauma is risking everyone else…with them having only a small portion of the story.
