NBC Teases the MAGNUM P.I. Series Finale

With the final two episodes of MAGNUM P.I. officially airing as a block on Wednesday, January 3, NBC has revealed the logline for the first installment in the block.

In the first of the two episodes—kicking off at 9/8c—”Ashes to Ashes,” “Magnum and Higgins re-examine a fatal arson investigation at the request of TC and Mahina, leading to a sinister discovery. Kumu volunteers with Rick at a veterans’ crisis call center.”

As for the series finale, “The Big Squeeze”? (Update, Thursday, December 21:) The official tease says, “Magnum and Higgins take a major step forward in their relationship. At the same time, the past comes back to haunt them when a previous suspect becomes their client. TC aims to scale up Island Hoppers. Rick gets a new business partner.” (GMMR’s tease? It is an action-packed hour, that is both satisfying and leaves you wanting more.)

“This season was for the fans,” MAGNUM P.I. showrunner Eric Guggenheim previously told Give Me My Remote. “They saved the show and we’ll always be grateful. I hope they come away feeling that we rewarded their faith in us. I can honestly say we left it all on the field.”
