Take Two: THE X-FILES Season 7 (Part 2)

On Friday, September 10, 1993, Fox debuted THE X-FILES. Now, ahead of the show’s 30th anniversary, Give Me My Remote is looking back at all 11 seasons (and the two feature films) in a new daily series Take Two.

If you’ve read About Last Night, this will be formatted in a similar way: Each episode will get its own subsection/reaction, though in this case there may be slight spoilers or alluding to what comes ahead in the series. Fox’s new series SNAKE OIL has added Will Arnett, Brad Paisley, Ice-T, Bethenny Frankel, Adam DeVine, Christie Brinkley, Kandi Burruss, Dwight Howard, Natasha Leggero, Jay Pharoah, Rob Riggle, Darius Rucker, JB Smoove, and Michelle Williams to its first season.

In SNAKE OIL, hosted David Spade (and executive-produced by Arnett), “contestants are pitched unique products by convincing entrepreneurs – some of whom are showcasing real business ventures, while the others are “Snake Oil Salesmen,” whose products are fake. With the help of guest celebrity advisors, contestants must determine which products are real and which are a sham, for a chance to win life-changing money. In each round of SNAKE OIL, contestants choose a pair of entrepreneurs and learn about their extremely unique (and often bizarre) products through visuals, a custom-made infomercial exclusively produced for Snake Oil, and by quizzing the business representative themselves. With the help of their celebrity advisors, the contestants must then decide who is selling an authentic product and who is hawking a sham. Will they make the right choice or be duped by snake oil?!”

THE IRRATIONAL: NBC Releases a Trailer for New Jesse L. Martin-Led Procedural Drama

Jesse L. Martin is back solving crimes on an NBC show in the new drama THE IRRATIONAL, which premieres Monday, September 25 at 10/9c.

In the series, based on Dan Ariely’s “Predictably Irrational,” Martin plays “world-renowned professor of behavioral science Alec Mercer as he lends his unique expertise on an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement and corporations. His insight and unconventional approach to understanding human behavior lead him and the team on a series of intense, unexpected journeys to solve illogical puzzles and perplexing mysteries.”
