In the exclusive clip below, Sgt. John Burmester recalls being called to the scene of John and Ruth High’s death in 1987 to see if there had been foul play.

“What you have at the scene is the smell of gas, you see a gas cooker hooked up in the kitchen, you see an elderly man, John High, lying on the kitchen floor,” explains prosecutor/expert Kelly Siegler. “You see Ruth lying what appears to be peacefully asleep in her bed. No forced entry and nothing stolen from the house.”
