SUITS: L.A.: NBC Orders SUITS Spinoff Pilot

It’s official: NBC has ordered a pilot for its SUITS spinoff, SUITS: L.A. The new series will be penned by SUITS creator Aaron Korsh, with Victoria Mahoney directing the pilot.

According to the logline, “Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.”

SUITS had a big 2023, with the former USA Network series (which ran from 2011-2019) becoming the most-streamed series of the year…and now holds the record for the most amount of hours streamed in a single year.

This marks the second spinoff from SUITS, following the short-lived PEARSON, which starred SUITS’ Gina Torres.

The SUITS: L.A. pilot is set to start filming in Vancouver in March.
