QUANTUM LEAP: Ernie Hudson and Caitlin Bassett Preview the ‘Roller Coaster’ Season Finale

As QUANTUM LEAP closes out its season with two very big episodes, the team is at a major disadvantage: Magic (Ernie Hudson) sacrificed his job in the hopes of saving the team, the project, and hopefully bringing Ben (Raymond Lee) home.

“It’s kind of a reality check for Magic,” Hudson tells Give Me My Remote. “I think it’s a really critical time for him to realize that everything is in play. He’s going to have to dig deep and try and figure something out—his decision, which is nothing he ever expected or prepared for, and what it all means. But in the final two episodes, I think a lot of this will come together.”

In the first hour of the two-hour event, Ben is reunited with Hannah (Eliza Taylor) and her son, when he leaps into a firefighter who is tasked with saving them from a burning building. Then, in the final hour, the entire project is in jeopardy and the team has to go to extreme lengths to save everything.

“It’s so hard to reveal anything,” Caitlin Bassett, who plays Addison, acknowledges. “The next two are a roller coaster.”

And never count out Magic, either. “He’s not without resources,” Hudson teases. “There’s other times for him to step up…it’s not over yet.”

While there’s very little else that can be teased, Bassett did offer an intriguing (and very correct) three-word tease about the finale in the video below…
