March 6, 2024 by Marisa Roffman
YOUNG SHELDON is staging a THE BIG BANG THEORY reunion: Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik will reprise their roles of Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler in the series finale of YOUNG SHELDON, CBS announced.
The duo last acted together in TBBT’s 2019 series finale. While Parsons narrates YOUNG SHELDON—and Bialik has appeared in a voiceover twice during the prequel’s run—this will mark both actor’s first on-camera appearance on YOUNG SHELDON. Further details about their appearance are being kept quiet.
The news comes a day after CBS officially expanded THE BIG BANG THEORY/YOUNG SHELDON universe with an order for a YS spinoff centered around Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment).
YOUNG SHELDON’s one-hour series finale will air Thursday, May 16 on CBS.
