About Last Night…AMERICAN IDOL and THE GREAT NORTH
April 15, 2024 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!
AMERICAN IDOL: I can’t imagine what the emotions were like as the contestants were waiting to hear their future, but there really were an abnormal amount of tears/barely getting through the song. This isn’t a criticism, just, honestly, a bit of concern about how everyone is holding up.
The highlights, for me: Ajii, Emmy Russell, Kayko, Jayna Elise, Abi Carter, and McKenna Faith Breinholt.
THE GREAT NORTH: Absolutely silly that Fox burned two episodes in such a weirdly scheduled season, but alas. The first episode was stronger for me, because the vandalized bookstore was actually brilliant. And Wolf not knowing how to react to Honeybee’s mom was unexpectedly touching…of course he struggles with a mom.
That being said, Beef going wild in the second episode was hilarious.
