NBC Cancels EXTENDED FAMILY
May 7, 2024 by Marisa Roffman
EXTENDED FAMILY will not be returning to NBC for a sophomore season.
The move comes as the network renewed LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ and ordered new Reba McEntire-led comedy HAPPY’S PLACE.
EXTENDED FAMILY followed a couple in the aftermath of an amicable divorce—and how they navigated parenting, new relationships, and more. The series starred Jon Cryer, Donald Faison, Abigail Spencer, Sofia Capanna, and Finn Sweeney, with Mike O’Malley serving as showrunner.
The first season wrapped up in March.
