May 22, 2024 by Marisa Roffman
FBI and CHICAGO MED have set their showrunners for the 2024-25 season.
Mike Weiss has joined CBS’ FBI, which recently got a three-season renewal. Weiss replaces Rick Eid, who joined the series in season 1. (Eid will remain LAW & ORDER’s showrunner.) Weiss previously worked in the Wolf Entertainment world on NBC’s CHICAGO P.D. as a co-executive producer for season 3 and 4. He recently created DEATH AND OTHER DETAILS, and wrote on shows like THE MENTALIST, IN PLAIN SIGHT, and STUMPTOWN.
Allen MacDonald has joined NBC’s CHICAGO MED, replacing longtime showrunners Andrew Schneider and Diane Frolov. He recently showran HARLAN COBEN’S SHELTER, and wrote on shows like CSI, 13 REASONS WHY, and FOREVER.
Deadline was first to report the news.
