Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

BEAT SHAZAM: Damn, John and Tyler were a great team. (I was impressed John knew the Fergie song.) And, man, “I’ll Stand By You” was hard, because that was my first thought, too, but then second-thought whether it was just “Stand By You”…the exact title thing can be brutal. But I’m so, so glad they won.

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: A solid, solid episode. The Golden Buzzer act was good, but not my very, very top act that got the honor so far.

Other memorable acts? Dee Dee Simon was great (and I’m kind of surprised someone didn’t give her a Golden Buzzer), as were The Reklaws, Solange Kardinaly, Roni Sagi & Rhythm, and Andrei Burton. Though I’m very confused about the Olive of it all, because it was good and creepy, but we never got any judgment. Was it a…gag? Are they moving on?

QUIZ WITH BALLS: Well, it was one of the better games so far. But, man, it feels like if multiple people make it to the end, they should be able to give input. And losing it all on the final ball? I’d be so mad.

LOVE ISLAND USA: I had stepped back from the LOVE ISLAND world for a few years, but it was fun picking the show back up. Coye getting three girls at the jump was hilarious, but it felt like we didn’t really see much from him Jana after that.

Aaron and Kaylor & Serena and Kordell were my early favorite pairings, but it feels like they both may be in serious jeopardy by the end of the week.

Not really sure what to make of the Liv of it all. While, yeah, she should be going for what she needs/wants in this experience, probably not the best that Rob was blindsided? Especially since—in theory—she loses the power after this; she should have made sure they were on the same page for both short- and long-term gameplay.
