USA Network Orders THE RAINMAKER Series
June 12, 2024 by Marisa Roffman
USA Network has ordered an adaptation of THE RAINMAKER to series.
The drama, from CODE BLACK’s Michael Seitzman, is based on the John Grisham book by the same title. It was previously adapted into a film starring Matt Damon and Claire Danes.
In the series, “Fresh out of law school, Rudy Baylor goes head-to-head with courtroom lion Leo Drummond as well as his law school girlfriend. Rudy, along with his boss and her disheveled paralegal, uncover two connected conspiracies surrounding the mysterious death of their client’s son.”
This marks the third Grisham novel that has officially become a television series, following the one-season ’90s drama THE CLIENT and the one-season NBC drama THE FIRM.
Seitzman, Jason Richman, Grisham, David Gernert, and Jason Blum serve as executive producers on THE RAINMAKER.
