AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: Watch Howie Mandel’s Jaw-Dropping Golden Buzzer Act

Dance group Brent Street parlayed their impressive AMERICA’S GOT TALENT audition into an even bigger win: They nabbed Howie Mandel‘s first Golden Buzzer.

As their performance was going on, it was clear the judges—Mandel, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara—as well as the audience and host Terry Crews were invested in the intense dance routine.

“This is amazing,” Crews yelled to the camera crew, as Mandel’s jaw visibly dropped at the judges’ table. When Brent Street completed their audition, they got a standing ovation from the judges.

“This was a very, very, very, very exciting dance,” Klum said. “Beautiful. It was also something we hadn’t seen before. Very entertaining.”

Vergara called the beginning “spectacular,” noting that her favorite part of the show was seeing dancers audition. She dubbed Brent Street’s audition “the coolest thing I’ve seen today.”

Cowell praised it as well-thought-out and creative and acknowledged being there clearly meant something to all of the dancers. “That’s the kind of audition we love on this show,” he said.

But then Mandel disappeared. “I thought everything you did was amazing,” Mandel’s muffled, discombobulated voice said. “It was a surprise.” And then he dramatically hit the Golden Buzzer button, much to everyone’s delight.
