DEXTER: ORIGINS Adds Sarah Michelle Gellar

DEXTER: ORIGINS has added Sarah Michelle Gellar to its star-studded cast.

The official social media page for the show announced the news in a cheeky post, alluding to Gellar’s most famous role. “Sarah Michelle Gellar is joining #DexterOriginalSin as CSI Chief Tanya Martin? Big slay 🩸”

Gellar joins the previously announced Christian Slater as Harry Morgan, Patrick Gibson as Dexter Morgan, Molly Brown as Debra Morgan, Patrick Dempsey as Captain Aaron Spencer, James Martinez as Angel Batista, Christina Milian as Maria LaGuerta, and Alex Shimizu as Vince Masuka.

In the new series, “Set in 1991 Miami, DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN follows Dexter (Gibson) as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Slater), he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement’s radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.”
