Let’s talk about Thursday night’s TV!

CRIMINAL MINDS: EVOLUTION: After a season of Rossi seeing Voit, the dream didn’t freak me out as maybe it should have. But the team watching Rossi as he kept hallucinating Voit and was clearly spiraling? Ow. Ouch. That was well done.

Tara sitting quietly with David was one of my favorite moments of the episode. She wasn’t overbearing. She wasn’t condescending. She was just there and made sure he knew she was there. As I wrote in my notes, “My heart.”

I was a little worried I’d be wildly secondhand embarrassed by JJ and Emily getting high—it could have been so cringe-worthy—but it ended up being both funny and really moving as they looked back on their history and assessed their futures. They’ve been through a lot, known each other for a very long time, and it was really refreshing to get that kind of character insight in the confines of a show like this.

(Well, at least Tyler wasn’t dumb enough to go rogue. I didn’t expect that. But holy romantic quad…mess.)
