NBC Orders SUITS: L.A. and GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY to Series

NBC has ordered dramas SUITS L.A. and GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY to series.

In SUITS L.A., “Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point and to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives.”

The series stars Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, and Bryan Greenberg. The SUITS spinoff was created by SUITS boss Aaron Korsh. David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene Klein serve as executive producers. Victoria Mahoney directed the pilot.

In GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY, “Four members of a suburban garden club, all from different walks of life, get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom.”

The series stars Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb, Ben Rappaport, Matthew Davis, Alexander Hodge, Aja Naomi King, Nancy Travis, and Felix Avitia. Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs created the series and Maggie Kiley directed the pilot. Casey Kyber serves as an executive producer.

It’s still TBD when the shows will debut. (NBC has THE HUNTING PARTY, DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND, THE AMERICAS, and DESTINATION X for midseason, and many of their fall shows have full 22-episode orders.)
