ABC Orders SHIFTING GEARS to Series

ABC has ordered comedy SHIFTING GEARS to series.

Tim Allen stars in the series as “Matt, the stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matt’s estranged daughter (Kat Dennings) and her teenage kids move into his house, the real restoration begins.”

The series also stars Daryl “Chill” Mitchell as Stitch, Maxwell Simkins as Carter, and Barrett Margolis as Georgia.

Allen, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Richard Baker, Rick Messina, and John Pasquin (who directed the pilot) serve as executive producers. Mike Scully and Julie Thacker Scully, who developed the show and are departing post-pilot, are executive producers on the pilot episode. Dennings serves as a producer.

A new showrunner will be announced shortly.
