Let’s talk about Thursday night’s TV!

BIG BROTHER: How do we get Tucker out of this house? If he was 20% less annoying, his gameplay would be interesting. But he’s, frankly, a bully, and is giving off a bunch of red flags. He’s so convinced he’s right that he won’t process the truth, and that’s dangerous. (See: His belief Lisa had the powers or Cedric didn’t warn him to use the Veto power on himself.) Also: He absolutely blew up everyone else’s game for a temper tantrum? Fine.

The downside of this three-player block for eviction night is that some players may always be able to keep themselves off the block. Even being backdoored this season won’t work, necessarily. (Though it is interesting he hasn’t won HoH yet. It’s not like he isn’t trying, but he only seems to really activate during these Veto/AI challenges.)

I’m glad for Kenney that he was able to go home. I think he could have been a good competitor, but as he acknowledged…his head and heart weren’t there.

PRESS YOUR LUCK: Poor David; I hate when people Whammy out. And then Dr. Ashley kept getting spins?! I was worried she was going to Whammy, but at least she passed to Timothy at the end, who got one last prize for his wife in the win. And, man, it was sweet he was so emotional and the other contestants were being supportive.

But, man, TimmyMania…I lost years of my life when he opted to go for more in the final round. The look on his wife’s face was hilarious and CORRECT—if you have that many prizes (including a dream vow renewal and honeymoon), that’s a lot to risk. I’m glad he Whammied early enough to bank $50k in the last round, at least, but I wonder how much “what could have been” hangs over him.

DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS: Zach’s dad knowing the “Ice Ice Baby” lyrics…oh, I laughed. Especially because Zach had been so confident and then blanked! Glad they got it, though. (Danielle leaving with nothing is such a bummer; the accidental foreshadowing of Zach saying it might be the little words that get him and then it being the little words that got Danielle….great editing, heartbreaking outcome.)

Man, Kevin’s story made me want him to win. And his friend helped him get him the Pink song—I feel like this might be the two most useful friends/lifelines we’ve had all season?! That being said, I do not get the appeal of saving a category where you feel like you know nothing. If you actually think you might have a chance at a million, do it literally first when you might need 3 words and they’ll likely be the ones you have a chance at. Worst case scenario, you can get out of it entirely with your bonus words. (Also: Do people really not know Santa Monica Boulevard is a place?! That felt like a pretty well-known street, even outside of people who live in LA. There’s even the Santa Monica Pier!)
