NBC to Air MR. THROWBACK Pilot

NBC will air the first episode of MR. THROWBACK on Thursday, September 12 at 9/8c, the network announced.
In the series, which is a Peacock original comedy, “A down-on-his-luck memorabilia dealer looks for redemption by reuniting with his sixth-grade teammate, NBA legend Steph Curry.”
MR. THROWBACK debuted on August 8, as Curry was in the thick of his real-life Team USA Olympic gold run. According to NBCU, the comedy “stands as a top 5 Peacock original comedy series through their respective opening weekends” and “77% of the accounts who watched MR. THROWBACK also watched basketball at the Olympics.”
The series also stars Adam Pally, Ego Nwodim, and Ayden Mayeri; Tracy Letts, Layla Scalisi, Tien Tran, and Rich Sommer recur. David Caspe, Matthew Libman, and Daniel Libman serve as writers/executive producers; David Wain is a director/executive producer. Erick Peyton, Curry, and Pally also serve as EPs.
