THE RAINMAKER Adds Lana Parrilla

Lana Parrilla has joined USA Network’s THE RAINMAKER as a series regular, Give Me My Remote has confirmed.

Parrilla will play Jocelyn “Bruiser” Stone.” Bruise is described as “a brash, ballsy street lawyer operating on the edge of the law while running her disgraced father’s strip-mall law firm.”

She joins the previously-cast Milo Callaghan, Madison Iseman, and John Slattery.

In the new series—from CODE BLACK’s Michael Seitzman and based on the John Grisham book by the same title—“Fresh out of law school, Rudy Baylor (Callaghan) goes head-to-head with courtroom lion Leo Drummond (Slattery) as well as his law school girlfriend. Rudy, along with his boss and her disheveled paralegal, uncover two connected conspiracies surrounding the mysterious death of their client’s son.” The pilot was co-written by Seitzman and Jason Richman.

Parrilla’s TV credits include ONCE UPON A TIME, BOOMTOWN, THE LINCOLN LAWYER, and SWINGTOWN.

Deadline was first to report the casting.
