Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!

EMMYS: It’s very weird we had our second EMMYS telecast of the year (with the 75th getting delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes), and it’s a bit unfortunate it couldn’t quite compare, spectacle-wise. I am glad, at least, there weren’t the same level of sweeps as last go-round, though.

BOB’S BURGERS: A cute episode…the family trying to figure out the best approach for Gayle’s audition tape was funny, because both sides made sense. And, hey, Gayle was surprisingly good (albeit slow) at climbing.

BIG BROTHER: This week’s event is like BIG BROTHER meets BLACK MIRROR. Frankly, this entire thing seems designed to torture them all. Also, does Leah get any real perks for being HOH?! (Rubina being eliminated from the HOH comp because she tried to engage with the other players?! LOL.)

Also, almost ten hours holding that freaking stick?! Absolutely insane. But it’s also unfair that Chelsie got annoyed at Cam for trying to end the competition. He wasn’t throwing it—and it’s not like he made a deal beyond what the three remaining contestants agreed to. They could have gone for hours more at that rate; it just sped up the end. Nothing about that showed he was more loyal to Leah than her. It’s very odd.

But, man, as someone who lives in SoCal, they are extraordinarily lucky this happened this week compared to last when it was 110 degrees.

THE GREAT NORTH: Oh, this is probably not a surprise, but I would be Moon with the animals if given the option. I don’t care how ridiculous or dangerous they might be, I would want to befriend them all. (Also the “Am I going to watch BONES?” about the death tarot  card made me laugh.)

But, OMG, a skeleton made of real bones in the classroom?! That sounds like the urban legend kids would tell to freak out other kids. Of course the family is legendary at stealing/returning the figure, though. (Poor Honeybee trying to bond with Beef at the ice hole, though. That hallucination was freaky as hell.)
