THE SIMPSONS, THE EQUALIZER, and BOB'S BURGERS

“Haunted Heights” – McCall investigates a death in an apartment building where residents believe the structure is haunted after a young woman suspects her grandmother was pushed down a flight of stairs via supernatural means. Meanwhile, Aunt Vi helps Delilah get ready for her senior photos, on the CBS Original series THE EQUALIZER, Sunday, Oct. 27 (9:30-10:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. The series will move to its regular time period on Sunday, Nov. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!

THE SIMPSONS: I hadn’t actually been wondering how Homer kept his job all of these years (in part because we knew there had been a backup and also half of the people who work there seemed, uh…not totally competent/their options to replace him were limited), but it was a cute backstory.

THE EQUALIZER: Of course people were being poisoned to get them out of the building. Of course! (But a smart way to make it a quasi-Halloween episode since the gas made people out of sorts.)

I am very glad D didn’t change herself for a guy. We know her family would have had her back if she did anything really foolish (she’s a teen, she will stumble, but that’s to be expected), but I’m glad she found the right path with some gentle guidance.

(I’m staying firmly in denial about the Vi of it all, thanks.)

It’s hard: I appreciate they’re making us miss the team, but…I miss the team. It should have an impact if you’re going to play this card, but I’m anxious to at least get one person back. (Either!) Though on a non-work note, I’m glad Dante and Robyn are keeping connected from afar; it would have really sucked if they took ten steps back while he was in California.

BOB’S BURGERS: I know this is probably not the correct takeaway from the episode, but I want to see a dollhouse murder mystery.
