SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: Maya Rudolph’s Kamala Harris Gets Guidance From the Real VP

Vice President Kamala Harris made a guest cameo on the Saturday, November 2 cold open of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. Harris, who is currently running for president, appeared opposite Maya Rudolph, who portrays the VP on the NBC series.

As Rudolph’s Kamala wished she had someone she could speak to someone who had been in her shoes, she sat down at a vanity, and the real Harris was opposite her.

After an applause the lasted nearly 30 seconds—and drowned out Harris’ first line—the duo gave each other a pep talk.

Then, Rudolph’s Kamala told the real candidate, “I’m gonna vote for us.”

“Great,” Harris replied. “Any chance you are registered in Pennsylvania?”

“Nope, I am not,” Rudolph answered.

“Well, it was worth a shot,” Harris said.
