CHICAGO MED’s Steven Weber Teases Trouble for Goodwin: ‘People Are Gonna Lose Their S—‘

For weeks, CHICAGO MED’s Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) has been in danger. The police suspected former employee Patrick, who had apparently posted hate-filled messages about her online. And after a confrontation with the police, Patrick took his own life, and it appeared the threats to Goodwin were over. But, naturally, it’s not quite that simple.
“There’s a situation brewing with Ms. Goodwin, with Epatha Merkerson, that will freak people out,” CHICAGO MED star Steven Weber, who plays Archer on the NBC series, tells Give Me My Remote in the video below. “That’s all I’ll say…I know it sounds like a TV hyperbole, but…people are gonna lose their s—.”
Weber acknowledges that he has first-hand knowledge of the fan reaction to the upcoming storyline. “I’m not kidding: I even told my mother what’s gonna happen, and she says, “What?!’” he says, mimicking his mother’s stunned response. “That’s my mother. So people, the fans, the Chihards, are absolutely gonna go crazy, and it’s quite incredible. How’s that for a tease?”
