HAPPY’S PLACE: NBC Orders Additional Season 1 Episodes

NBC has ordered five additional episodes to HAPPY’S PLACE season 1. This brings its freshman year episodic count up to 18.
According to NBC, the series premiere of the Reba McEntire-led comedy “has hit 14 million viewers across all platforms. The premiere has improved the Friday 8-8:30 p.m. timeslot by +90% among total viewers and +88% in the 18-49 demo.”
In the comedy, “Bobbie (Reba McEntire) inherits her father’s tavern (Happy’s Place) and is surprised to discover that she has a new business partner, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), a twentysomething half-sister she never knew she had.” The show also stars Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn. Kevin Abbott and Julie Abbott co-created the series; Kevin Abbott executive produces alongside with McEntire, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry, and Pamela Fryman.
