ELSBETH Exclusive Clip: Elsbeth Drops a Very Unmerry Bombshell on Vanessa Bayer’s DeeDee in the Christmas Episode

“Gold, Frankincense, and Murder” – Celebrity Christmas curators Dirk and DeeDee Dashers (Vanessa Bayer), go from tinsel to tragedy after Dirk is killed in a freak accident and Elsbeth begins to suspect his wife is behind the murder. When ELSBETH returns on Thursday, December 5, it’s Christmas time!
“The Christmas episode, it overlaps with SantaCon, which is something that people in New York know about,” ELSBETH showrunner Jonathan Tolins previously shared with Give Me My Remote. “Elsbeth has a surprising attitude toward Christmas this year because of who she is going to not be able to spend it with.”
But, naturally, there’s also a case to solve. In “Gold, Frankincense and Murder,” Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) suspects that DeeDee Dashers (Vanessa Bayer), a Christmas curator, may be behind her husband/curating partner’s death.
In an exclusive clip from the hour, a grinchy Elsbeth takes DeeDee to a bar—filled with SantaCon participants—to drop a bomb on the widow: Dirk, DeeDee’s dead husband, was trying to kill his wife.
DeeDee is shocked. “But he was the love of my life!” she says in the video below. “The jingle in my bells. Why?”
