[This post contains spoilers for the Wednesday, December 4 finale of THE SUMMIT.]

THE SUMMIT’s first season ended with a couple of last-minute twists.

With Therron Pittman, Punkin Jackson, Nick Morgan, and Jeannie Geyer remaining in the competition, the quartet was faced with a helicopter long line to transport them from one portion of the peak to the other. But, naturally, it couldn’t be that simple: Each contestant got to pick the next person to utilize the helicopter, with the final person being left behind/eliminated from the competition.

Jackson, who was the first to cross, opted to bring Morgan over. Morgan was distraught over having to pick between his long-time ally Geyer and Pittman (whom he credited with saving him during the last elimination round); ultimately, he saved Pittman…though Geyer could tell Morgan was emotional, and she realized her game was over.

With just Pittman, Jackson, and Morgan left, the trio made the final summit…and successfully completed the trek, each winning $250,000.

But host Manu Bennett had one final twist: The 13 previously eliminated contestants were going to vote for who would win an additional $250,000.

After a tense grilling, the group voted to give the additional money to Morgan.

Do you think they made the correct choice?
