DOCTOR WHO: Disney+ Releases Trailer for ‘Joy to the World’ Special, Co-Starring Nicola Coughlan

Disney+ released an official trailer for the DOCTOR WHO Christmas special, “Joy to the World,” which debuts on Wednesday, December 25 (at 12:10 PM ET, 9:10 AM PT).

According to the streamer, “When Joy checks into a London hotel in 2024, she opens a secret doorway to the Time Hotel — discovering danger, dinosaurs and the Doctor. But a deadly plan is unfolding across the Earth, just in time for Christmas.”

Nicola Coughlan plays Joy, alongside Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor. Additional cast includes Steph de Whalley as Anita, Jonathan Aris as Melnak, Joel Fry as Trev, Peter Benedict as Basil, Julia Watson as Hilda, and Niamh Marie Smith as Sylvia.

Steven Moffat wrote the special, which was directed by Alex Sanjiv Pillai. Russell T Davies serves as showrunner.
