THE DAY OF THE JACKAL: NBC to Air First Episode in December

NBC will air the first episode of Peacock’s THE DAY OF THE JACKAL on Monday, December 30 at 10/9c.
According to the network, “An unrivaled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal (Eddie Redmayne), makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.” The series also stars Úrsula Corberó, Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O’Neill, and Sule Rimi.
THE DAY OF THE JACKAL recently was nominated for a Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series (Drama) and Eddie Redmayne for Best Performance by an Actor in Television Series (Drama).
The first season consisted of 10 episodes. The show has already been renewed for season 2.
Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant (Carnival Films), Eddie Redmayne, Sam Hoyle (Sky Studios), Sue Naegle, Ronan Bennett, and Brian Kirk serve as executive producers.
