Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!

THE SIMPSONS: I know this wasn’t the main point of the episode, but oh my God, Moe loving Patty and Selma made me laugh out loud. (Especially when he called them hotter than Marge.)

The thing about a show like this is that we as an audience knew Homer and Patty/Selma weren’t going to stay friendly for long. It’s not a core part of the series, but it’s enough of a part of these characters’ relationship with each other that you can’t really fundamentally change things. But their reluctant enjoyment of each other was fun in this episode.

As for the Krusty/rewatch podcast subplot: I kind of wish they had utilized that for something with Sideshow Bob. Sideshow Bob is a card you can play occasionally at this point, but his tie to the Krusty show (and the general obsession with true crime, especially in the podcast world) would have made an interesting wrinkle to any kind of look back at the series.

BOB’S BURGERS: Okay, I know Gene is a kid, but feeding chocolate to a puppy?! Come on. Poor Lil Bark Bark. At least they (accidentally) found its owner and got a nice reward out of it, I guess.
