FBI International Greg Csonka

“You’ll Never See It Coming” – When the star witness in the case against Greg Csonka, the man responsible for the death of Wes’ former partner, is beaten to death in a Budapest prison before he can testify, the Fly Team attempts to salvage the case to secure Csonka’s conviction. As they dive back into the investigation, Mitchell is forced to confront the pain of losing his partner. Meanwhile, Wes assists Booth with preparing for his promotion interviews, on FBI: INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday, Dec. 17 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs). The FBI: INTERNATIONAL fall finale (airing Tuesday, December 17) gets personal for Wes (Jesse Lee Soffer): the case against Greg Csonka (Beau Knapp), the man responsible for the death of Wes’ partner, is compromised, and the Fly Team has to work to make sure justice is actually served.

“That guy makes it personal for Wes, in a lot of different ways,” Jay Hayden, who plays Tyler Booth, tells Give Me My Remote. “And I think if you saw the way that Tyler handled [the situation] when his [own] daughter was in danger…I just don’t know if he’s going to be the right kind of role model for Wes in those moments. He might be more of the devil on the shoulder rather than the angel.”

“Tyler definitely comes into play, chasing down that guy,” he continues. “Those are awesome episodes, by the way. Unbelievable. The midseason finale is really good.”

Booth will also have his own hardship to contend with in the hour, “You’ll Never See It Coming”: He tries to prepare for a potential promotion, with some help from Wes, after previously insisting he didn’t actually want to advance.

“He’s a liar,” Hayden says with a laugh. “He’s just too proud to tell his friend what he wants. He wants to be GS 14. He wants that. He worked his butt off. He’s been an agent as long as Wes. They were partners together. And one career went in one direction, the other one went in the other. But he’s just too proud. He’s too proud to tell his friend, to look him in the eye and be like, ‘Yeah, man, I want what you got.’”

“So instead, he’s going to pretend, ‘I’m just a case agent, I’m a field agent, I’m just catching bad guys. I don’t care about this,’” Hayden continues. “But, really, he cares a ton. Which is great, because Wes also knows he cares…Will Tyler grow up a little bit and really go for it? I hope so. You’re gonna find out.”
