THE VOICE: Michael Bublé Uses His Coach Replay on Bilingual Crooner

[Warning: This post contains spoilers for the Monday, February 10 episode of THE VOICE.]

THE VOICE’s Michael Bublé utilized his Coach Replay button on the Monday, February 10 episode of the NBC competition series.

Ricardo Moreno auditioned with Paul Anka’s “Put Your Head On My Shoulder”—a song Bublé previously covered—crooning to the classic in both English and Spanish. But, alas, no coaches turned.

Bublé was pained from the start, as Adam Levine said he thought Bublé would turn for Moreno…something Kelsea Ballerini echoed.

“Blame Bublé, that’s my strategy in general,” John Legend joked.

When Moreno was asked what his music style was, he said, “Jazz, oldies, mariachi music.”

“Man, it’s hard, you know, for me because I’m so picky,” Bublé said. “I heard so much that I liked.”

“The truth is…” Bublé continued before taking a dramatic pause and pushing his Coach Replay button.

“That’s what America wanted,” Legend cheered.

“The Coach Replay button, I love that thing,” Bublé said in an interview after the audition. “It is pure redemption. It isn’t just a second chance for the contestants. It’s a second chance for us coaches in case maybe we missed out. We don’t have to use it, but I think Ricardo has a really distinct and different voice. I think it is powerful. I think he has the ability to go between genres. I’m really glad the Coach Replay was there so that I could still bring him home to the Team Bublé.”
