ELSBETH Exclusive Clip: Elsbeth and Ioan Gruffudd’s Angus Flirt—While Trying to Solve a Murder

“Tiny Town” – Sparks fly between Elsbeth and a handsome Scottish musician named Angus (Ioan Gruffudd) after he witnesses a murder through a video art installation linking Manhattan with his tiny seaside town. Love may be in the air for ELSBETH’s Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) on the Thursday, February 13 episode of the CBS drama.
In “Tiny Town,” a woman is seemingly murdered—and the only witness is a Scottish musician, Angus (Ioan Gruffudd), who saw much of what happened via a video portal that links his small town with Manhattan. Naturally, Elsbeth needs to talk to the witness to learn what may have happened.
In the video below, Elsbeth—who had already received a compliment from Angus on her outfit—doubles back to her office to add a scarf before she returns to the video portal to talk with Angus again. Once there, she thanks him for his help.
“Oh, it’s a pleasure,” he says. “No one embraces procrastination better than a writer.”
The two talk about what went down, including what Angus had seen before the attack, until Angus gets sidetracked. “That scarf goes well with your jacket,” he says.
“Oh. This? Oh, it’s nothing,” Elsbeth says, playing it off. “It’s from the garbage.”
Of course, the lawyer is horrified by that reply and acknowledges, “I don’t know why I said that.” But Angus is charmed and chuckles at her antics.
Elsbeth’s questions turn personal: “What do you write Angus?”
“Songs,” he replies
“Really?” she asks.
“Oh, not good ones—they’re too hard,” he answers. “Bad music’s so easier.”
“That’s so exciting,” Elsbeth gushes. “I love people who write music.”
And Angus remains a charmer and volleys back: “I love people who love people write love music.”
