FOUND’s Shanola Hampton on the Return of Jamie: ‘Gabi Has to Protect Margaret’

FOUND’s Gabi (Shanola Hampton) may be in the clear with her legal issues, but she’s got a new problem to contend with on the Thursday, February 20 episode, “Missing While Grieving”: Margaret’s (Kelli Williams) son Jamie (Parker Daniel Queenan) is back…maybe? (Jamie disappeared years ago, pre-series, and without answers, Margaret has struggled to move on; previously, she would go to the bus station where she last saw him every night in the hopes he might return.)

“She loves Margaret,”  Hampton tells Give Me My Remote in the video below. “She’s seen Margaret be hurt, she’s seen Margaret be disappointed, she’s seen Margaret give. She’s seen Margaret be guilty. She wants to save her from all of it.”

“She wants her not to have to endure any of that pain,” she continues. “And if it’s Jamie, thank God. And if it’s not, oh, are we going to have to pick her up off the floor.”

And after Margaret had a mental health crisis earlier in the season, if this man isn’t her son, the subsequent crash could be even worse. “What does that pick up look like?” Hampton ponders. “And is it possible? And that’s all that Gabi is thinking about. Please let it be true, but, hold on, let me make sure because Gabi has to protect Margaret.”
