GHOSTS Recap: Hetty Discovers an Unusual Power

“St. Hetty’s Day” – Hetty’s ghost power is revealed when Jay’s cousin Sunil visits Woodstone Mansion on St. Patrick’s Day, on the CBS Original series GHOSTS, Thursday, March 13 (8:31-9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. GHOSTS’ Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) finally discovered her power on the Thursday, March 13 episode of GHOSTS, “St. Hetty’s Day.”
With Jay’s cousin Sunil visiting Woodstone Mansion on St. Patrick’s Day, the ghosts were intrigued by the new person in their midst. But they were shocked when Sunil started responding to Hetty…who had become visible to humans.
While the intricacies of the power were still up in the air—a theory: did they just show up because Hetty finally views the Irish as equal people now that she knows her real backstory?—it allowed Hetty and Sunil to form a sweet almost-romance. (It also allowed Utkarsh Ambudkar’s Jay a chance to meet Hetty officially, too.)
Unfortunately, while Sunil could see her, his attempt to touch her hand made it clear she had no physical form and Hetty was forced to confess what was really going on.
But since all good things must come to an end, the end of St. Patrick’s Day also meant that Hetty went back to being invisible to the human eye. But will she get her power back next year? With so much still a mystery, that’s still TBD.
