In honor of the NCAA tournament season, Give Me My Remote is bringing back our TV-centric bracket, pitting similarly titled episodes against each other: Couch Madness! (Credit for the excellent name goes to fellow reporter Chris Hayner.)

The seeding is simple: rather than quality of the hour, we’re going by air date (with the oldest episode getting the #1 slot and the newest getting #8). With Peak TV, this will not include every single show that has used this title; rather, we picked a selection from what was available.

We’re now up to the second round, which will will kick off on Monday, March 24 and end on Friday, March 28. The final face-off will be starting on Monday, March 31.

First up? “Bad Blood.” And with this title, there are enough shows for two separate brackets. So keep reading for the first bracket, episode descriptions (from IMDB), and the poll. (For the other episodes competing, check out all the brackets here!)

TRUE BLOOD (8): “Sookie and Jessica attempt to locate a kidnapped Bill, leading to a shocking revelation.”

vs.

PRISON BREAK (5): “Sara and Michael fail in the Corona de Oro, and Michael discovers that Pope is a member of the cigar club. They pay a visit to Pope’s home and Michael makes a deal to turn himself in to urge Pope to get whatever is in the safe. Meanwhile Mahone is chasing C-Note in Hennepin County, while the doctor refuses to attend Dede and tells C-Note that the hospital is not a homeless shelter. Mahone let C-note escape because of his daughter, however when Dede’s kidney is too sick and needs a dialysis, C-Note calls Mahone and makes a deal. T-Bag arrives in his sprayed and depleted house in Alabama with the intention of raising a family with Susan and recalls how he was abused by his father However, when Susan tells that she is not capable of loving him, he locks Susan, Zack and Gracey in the basement and anonymously reports the hostage situation to the police. In Mexico, Sucre stops in the middle of nowhere twenty minutes away from the airport and gets a ride with a security guard of the airport. Later he is identified and he escapes with Maricruz. Lincoln and Kellerman are watching Pope from the top of a building and Kellerman promises to drag many people in the black hole he is in. When Bill Kim holds Pope, the escapees take an attitude.”

LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT (3): “Benson and Stabler look into the death of a gay man at a party. Their investigation leads them to man who has a dysfunctional relationship with his brother.”

vs.

BURN NOTICE (7): “Michael meets his new “wrangler”/”rodeo clown”. Also Michael’s childhood friend Ricky needs help proving his innocence to his boss, Valantine.”
