Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

THE MASKED SINGER: Okay, I don’t know Erika Jayne—know of her, obviously, but I don’t watch the HOUSEWIVES—so I’m sure I missed a lot here. She was probably the right person to go home, though.

WILD CARDS: I can’t believe I can/have to repeat the same line as what I just wrote about THE MASKED SINGER (what hilarious timing), but I don’t watch the HOUSEWIVES, so I had the thought a few times during this episode that I’m sure I was missing hilarious references/subtle jokes that were for those faithful fans.

But even without that touchstone, it was a fun episode. Plus, we got two really great Ellis moments: Him being all heart eyes when he saw Max in the dress and his vulnerability when he opened up about his brother’s death to get one of the reality stars to open up.

And, hm, George gets out in two weeks…?

THE FLOOR: I can’t imagine how much your brain blanks when you’re up there and practicality goes out the window. But, man, Sharon lost time because she was saying “a” or “baby” in front of her answer. I’d be kicking myself, even if I’m sure it was accidental and an instinct versus intentionally killing a second, maybe, per question.

Laura and Amanda being too supportive was so cute and, yes, definitely the most adorable duel ever. At least they were both giggling and being supportive versus one losing that time and the other steamrolling them.

(Okay, haunted places were hard? As was water brands.)

It’s wild that Brian may be the greatest contestant this show ever has, regardless of whether he wins at the end of the day. I’m sure the odds are against him actually going all the way, but what a story it would be if he could.
