NBC has finally set the final season premiere air date for TRANSPLANT: Season 4 will bow with a two-hour event on Thursday, May 22, kicking off at 8/7c.
The final season finished airing last year in Canada; the series last aired on NBC when season 3 concluded in February 2024.
Season 4 “finds Bashir “Bash” Hamed on the precipice of finishing his residency at York Memorial and officially requalifying as a doctor. With his future uncertain once again, Bash and his sister, Amira, are Canadian citizens now, but are still trying, with everything they have, to build a life in their adopted country.”
With last season ending in the aftermath of Bash and Mags’ (Laurence Leboeuf) breakup, “we don’t run away from it; we don’t pretend the breakup didn’t happen,” showrunner Joseph Kay previously told Give Me My Remote. “They work together, they see each other every day. So it’s fertile to live in the space of that. She’s got this secret, what’s going on in her life? He doesn’t know about it. And we just wanted to kind of reset what was smoldering about them, leading into some of the drama that happens in season 4.”
The series starred Hamza Haq, Laurence Leboeuf, Ayisha Issa, Jim Watson, Rekha Sharma, Sirena Gulamgaus, Torri Higginson, Kenny Wong, Sugith Varughese, and Gord Rand.
