GOTHAM Final Season Promo Teases the End

The final—newly expanded—run of GOTHAM is nearly here, and Fox released the first full teaser for the fifth and final season.

“I’m just trying to keep this city from falling apart,” Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) tells Barbara (Erin Richards) in the video below.

“You’re too late,” she replies.

Of course, to some degree, she’s correct: in order for Batman/Bruce Wayne to eventually undergo his heroic rise, the city of Gotham has to need him, which means Jim can’t entirely succeed. But in the final 12 episodes, Jim’s going to do everything his power to prove her wrong.
