THE TONIGHT SHOW Plans Puerto Rican-Set Episode
December 17, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON is traveling to Puerto Rico for the January 15 episode of the late night series, NBC announced.
Per the network, the installment “will focus on the spirit and culture of Puerto Rico in its efforts to rebuild and raise awareness following the devastating hurricane that struck the U.S. territory on Sept. 20, 2017. While the telecast will detail how Hurricane Maria caused widespread damage, it will also, just as importantly, be festive and bring a party-like atmosphere to the island that has long been known for fun and celebration.”
Lin-Manuel Miranda, who will be on the island for his run in HAMILTON, will be featured in the episode. There will also be a special performance from the smash Broadway musical with Miranda and the touring cast.
Miranda, who is also on THE TONIGHT SHOW for the Monday, December 17 episode, helped Fallon announce the news to the show’s audience…
