Netflix Releases STRANGER THINGS Season 3 Premiere Date
January 2, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
Netflix kicked of the new year in a unique way: with a trip back to the 1985 New Year’s Eve countdown to reveal the STRANGER THINGS premiere date.
Though the streaming platform had long-teased that the series would return in summer, the video revealed STRANGER THINGS season 3 will premiere on Thursday, July 4. (Season 2 bowed on October 27, 2017.)
“It’s a handcrafted show,” Cindy Holland, Netflix’s Vice President of Original Content said during her executive session panel at the Television Critics Association in 2018. “The Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy have worked really hard; they understand the stakes are high. They really want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year. They really want to take the time to get it right.”
