Hulu Orders Abigail Spencer’s REPRISAL and Elle Fanning’s THE GREAT to Series

Hulu has ordered new shows REPRISAL and THE GREAT.

REPRISAL—which will premiere in 2019—is described as “a hyper-kinetic revenge tale following a relentless femme fatale (Abigail Spencer) who, after being left for dead, leads a vengeful campaign against a bombastic gang of gear heads.” The series also stars Rodrigo Santoro, Mena Massoud, Madison Davenport, Rhys Wakefield, David Dastmalchian, W. Earl Brown, and Gilbert Owuor. The series was created by Josh Corbin.

THE GREAT—which will bow in 2020—is a “genre bending, anti-historical ride through 18^th Century Russia following the wildly comic rise of Catherine the Nothing to Catherine the Great.” It stars Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult, Phoebe Fox, Adam Godley, Gwilym Lee, Charity Wakefield, Douglas Hodge, and Sacha Dhawan. THE GREAT was created by Tony McNamara.
