TIMELESS Deleted Scene: Wyatt Gives Lucy a Romantic Holiday Gift

The TIMELESS finale may have been a Christmas-themed two-parter, but the show’s writers dropped a lovely Valentine’s Day-timed gift for fans: the final deleted scene from the finale.

In the clip, Lucy (Abigail Spencer) and Wyatt (Matt Lanter) celebrate Christmas morning together—and he has a lovely gift for her, which pays homage to their first go-round at romance.

And while promoting his new (wickedly fun) series THE BOYS at the Television Critics Association, TIMELESS co-creator Eric Kripke acknowledged that there isn’t anything new to report about the show finding a fourth life. (It was previously briefly canceled after season 1 before its revival days later; the show was then canceled after season 2, before NBC ordered a wrap-up film months later.) “There hasn’t been much that we, as the producers, have been aware of,” Kripke shares. “I know Sony [the studio behind the show] is actively hunting, as they do. No one has given up the show. Everyone loves the show. It’s such a positive force for good in the world. Everyone would love to do more. So it’s about finding someone who is interested in doing it. At this stage, it’s about the search continues.”

Complicating matters is the fact that Spencer and Lanter both booked new TV jobs this week. But if the show ever does return, Kripke allows that it could be in any form—another TV movie, a mini-series, etc.

“There’s an endless amount of historical stories, there’s an endless amount of stuff we can do,” he says. “We’re happy to do whatever [the] power that be wants us to do. I think we’re just standing by in case anyone ever wants it. But if that ends up being the end—I hope it’s not, but if it was—I couldn’t be more proud of that show and the closure it gave and how fans reacted to it. It was a happy experience for me.”
