About Last Night…LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, THE VOICE, and ARROW
April 30, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!
LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: Oh, Gary. It makes sense he’d be so easily lulled to the dark side, but it’s a shame. And how sad that Ray sacrificed himself to save Nate?
On the lighter side, the romance convention was delightful, as was Mick took ownership of his writer persona.
THE VOICE: The episode felt really, really, really rushed. I get they’re kind of backed in a corner with the show down to once a week right now, but 24 contestants in a two-episode block means minimal feedback and everyone blending together. The only people who stood out for me this week were the ones who were really, really not good.
ARROW: So, the show reintroduced the Lazarus Pit just as Oliver was squished into a stone sandwich?
I really wish Emiko’s villainy felt a little more layered. Right now, it just feels like she’s cranky about her father’s betrayal and is lashing out as much as possible. It would be difficult for the audience to embrace a villain, but it feels like there’s nothing redeeming about her.
