SONGLAND: Hear John Legend’s Winning Song Choice

On NBC’s SONGLAND premiere, John Legend met with four songwriters to hear their take on his potential next single.

After the singer narrowed it down to three finalists, the songwriters worked with music producers to flesh out the songs—and adjust them based on their prior interaction with Legend. (As the singer noted, in success, he could be singing this song more than a thousand times, so he needed to be certain he ended up with the correct one.)
