MASTERCHEF JUNIOR season 7 came to a conclusion on Tuesday, June 4, as Che was crowned the champion.
“When the cooking and judging was over, and I was standing with my friends for life, Malia and Ivy, awaiting the moment that Gordon would crown one of us the winner of MASTERCHEF JUNIOR Season Seven, millions of thoughts were going through my head,” said Che in a statement. “When Gordon said my name, I was completely awestruck! I fell on the floor and felt the confetti fall on my face. That’s the moment I realized ‘WOW’! I just won the biggest cooking competition on the planet.’ All of the hard work and soul I had poured into this had paid off. I was ecstatic with excitement as I shook the judge’s hands, congratulated my fellow contestants and hugged my family.”
Here was Che’s winning menu:
Appetizer:
Pan Seared Prawns & Cuttlefish with Calabrian Chile Butter Polenta with Lemon Vinaigrette and Parmesan Crisp
Entrée:
Veal Saltimbocca with Fingerling Potatoes, Spring Pea Ragout, Morels and Mushroom Jus
Dessert:
Gluten-Free Chocolate Olive Oil Cake with Orange Glaze, Fresh Ricotta Cream and Pistachio Tuile
