Yikes, I’ve been inundated with requests to post some more of the AMERICAN IDOL performances from last night. I can’t post them all but I will try to post some of my favorites. That includes Matt Giraud. Matt was an early favorite of mine. I think this guy is super talented. He hasn’t been as consistent as he needs to be. But when he channels his inner Timberlake things seem to work out for him.

Matt is up there with Kris Allen and Adam Lambert in my Top 3.

The beginning of this song is fierce! Watch yourself.

    Doesn’t even feel like I am watching an amateur singing contest. This is in a class above everyone else (along with Mr. Lambert of course)

    I love Matt! He is so talented! He is definitely in my Top 3 as well, along with Kris and Adam. Even though Adam annoys me sometimes.

    Matt is ready for the radio. I’m not so sure that the frontrunner, Adam, is. Granted Adam is good, but his place remains in the theater–and there is nothing wrong with that at all.

    jeanann is so right! Matt is so ready for radio… have you heard his studio recordings? They blew me away at how good he sounds. I want to hear him on the radio; I want to buy his records and I will. He’s my favorite. I just don’t see what Adam could really put on a record that I would want to listen to. I just don’t feel him or don’t connect or something… I wanted to be as wrapped up in him as everyone else but I’m just not. I think he’s a talented guy though, but I don’t feel him as an artist but as an entertainer and theatrical. Not a bad thing, I think he’s got a bright future ahead and I do think that he’s going to win this thing… I see 10-1 more posts with fans raving about Adam than any other contestant. DialIdol has him way out ahead of anyone else, but I do hope that Matt makes it the top 4 or 3 at least. He’s got a record contract waiting, I’m sure, regardless!
