Exclusive Video: A First Look At CARTER Season 2

CARTER, the Jerry O’Connell-led WGN America, is back for a second season on Monday, January 20 at 10/9c, and there are some changes afoot.

“Season 2, he’s opened up his own private investigator firm,” O’Connell says of his title character in the exclusive video below.

But for Harley Carter, the actor-turned-P.I., solving crimes may be the least of his worries: there’s a new police chief, Joyce Warwick Boyle (Lyriq Bent), in town—and he has his eye on Carter’s partner/best friend Sam Shaw (Sydney Poitier Heartsong).

“It sort of sets up a very interesting dynamic between Harley and Sam and Chief Boyle,” Poitier Heartsong teases. Adds O’Connell, “Everything this season is sort of elevated.”
