CHICAGO P.D. Boss Teases Atwater’s Family Reunion
January 8, 2020 by Marisa Roffman
As CHICAGO P.D.’s Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) fights for his life, another member of Intelligence will be thrown when the series returns: Atwater’s (LaRoyce Hawkins) brother, Jordan, is back in town…and it isn’t a new development.
“[He’s back] without telling Atwater,” CHICAGO P.D. boss Rick Eid previews. “That’s the big surprise: that he’s back in Chicago, living a life, and he hasn’t told his brother. And, ultimately, we find out why he didn’t tell his brother. But he’s trying to become independent and live his own life; he wants to be in Chicago and he knows his brother wouldn’t approve of that.”
But, naturally, the reunion has its own share of drama.
“Atwater is very protective and acts more like a father,” Eid notes. “So I think it’s like a son trying to separate from his father.”
