Watch Kris Allen Kill it with “Heartless” by Kanye West

This is when it’s good to have my own blog. Vote for Kris Allen tonight and he just might make it into next week’s AMERICAN IDOL season finale. Kris is the dark horse to make it through to next week but I think he has a shot, especially after his brilliant performance of Kanye West’s “Heartless” tonight.

I’ve been voting for over an hour and have only gotten through about 15 times…so that’s good!
Keep calling. I’m calling and getting right through each time. But I did a comparison call for The Gokey and Adam and could get right through too.
And so help me God if Danny beats Kris by one single vote I will never watch TV again…or use the phone for that matter.
Boo to Gokey. Should have been Allison. I agree with Kara (who’d have thunk?) that I would have liked to see Kris change up Apologize (maybe because I hate the song anyway…), but Heartless was really good. He’s at his best when he twists the song to suit his style. Go Kris!
I haven’t had a chance to watch yet so I haven’t seen Adam (my fave…he’s the reason I’ve even started watching this show again), but that was a fantastic performance by Kris! And omg…if Adam had done “Dream On” I would have died. That would have been fantabulous.
How did I go from being an AI hater to wishing I could vote from Canada? It would be amazing to see a Kris/Adam finale…and after seeing Kris’ “Heartless”, maybe that’s not just wishful thinking. C’mon American Adam and Kris fans…get dialing!
I don’t watch American Idol, but I’ve followed along with all your blogs about it GMMR. I knew it was the final 3 tonight so I flipped over a couple times while watching the Phillies game. I caught this performance by Kris and after watching one performance from him I’m a fan. When he said he was going to do this song I was worried he wouldn’t be able to live up to Kanye West, but man it was really good! I didn’t want to say it, but Randy did, and it was better than Kanye West. Also helps that he’s adorable. No matter what happens with the voting I hope he gets to put out an album because I’d like to hear more from him.
YAY KRIS!!!! I think that Heartless won him a lot of fans…or it should have! I voted for two straight hours. I didn’t get straight through everytime. Does anyone know if it shows a busy signal if you redial the same number too many times? I got a busy signal on all three after voting 20 times 🙂
Okay – I’ve listened to Kris’ version of Heartless twice now and I have to say he did a poor copy of the Fray’s version.

You know, I’d buy his album if it had songs like that on it, that was awesome, and exactly the kind of music I love to listen to. Wish I was in the USA, I’d be voting for this guy!
actually, the studio version sounds much better than his live performance. yeah it’s not too original but not many people know that.

Kris did an excellent job on heartless, but he only did, because he copied a female who previously sung that song. He also had people to cheat with texting votes through at&t. I honestly believe he should’ve been original. Danny Gokey was the true winner!!! I don’t believe Adam would have made it that far if America new he was gay…
